Walmart DC 6068 – Storm Damage Reconstruction
Emergency demolition and reconstruction of a storm-damaged Walmart distribution center in Sanger, Texas.
A 1,256,278 GSF distribution building for the Walmart network on a steeply graded greenfield site in Kings Mountain, North Carolina.
Walmart's CLT2 distribution center started with dirt. The Kings Mountain site was steeply graded, so the project began with mass grading, stormwater management, detention, and utility infrastructure before vertical construction could start. Earthwork was sequenced so the building followed the grade as it was made.
When complete, 1.25 million square feet of operating distribution center will stand where a steep greenfield was. Scheduled completion is May 2027.
