Cookie Policy
Effective date: October 13, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how J.A. Fielden Co., Inc. ("J.A. Fielden," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on jafielden.com (the "Site"), and how you can control them. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information more generally.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your browser or device. They let the website remember things like your settings and how you have used the site. Cookies set by the website you are visiting are called first-party cookies. Cookies set by another company, such as an analytics provider, are called third-party cookies.
Websites also use similar technologies, such as scripts, pixels, and local storage, that work in a similar way. In this policy, "cookies" includes these technologies.
2. How we use cookies
We group the cookies on the Site into the categories shown in our cookie banner. Only strictly necessary cookies are set before you make a choice. All other categories stay off unless you turn them on.
Strictly necessary. These cookies are needed for the Site to work and to keep it secure. They remember your cookie choices, protect our forms from spam and abuse, and support basic functions of the Site. They cannot be switched off in our cookie banner. You can block them in your browser, but parts of the Site, such as our forms, may then stop working.
Analytics. These cookies help us understand how visitors use the Site, such as which pages are visited most and how people find us, so we can improve it. We use Google Analytics for this purpose, and the information is reported to us in aggregate. These cookies are set only if you allow them.
Marketing. These cookies are used to show you relevant advertising on other websites and to measure how well it works. We do not currently use marketing cookies. If we add them, we will update this policy and set them only if you allow them.
Personalization. These cookies remember choices you make on the Site to give you a more personal experience. We do not currently use personalization cookies. If we add them, we will update this policy and set them only if you allow them.
3. Cookies we use
The table below lists the cookies currently used on the Site. Cookie names and durations may change slightly as providers update their services.
Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Category | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
cc_cookie | J.A. Fielden (first party) | Remembers your cookie choices so we do not ask again on every page | Strictly necessary | 6 months |
_GRECAPTCHA | Google reCAPTCHA (third party) | Helps tell people and automated bots apart to protect our forms from spam and abuse | Strictly necessary | 6 months |
_ga | Google Analytics (third party) | Distinguishes one visitor from another to produce aggregate statistics | Analytics | 2 years |
_ga_[ID] | Google Analytics (third party) | Keeps track of the current visit for aggregate statistics | Analytics | 2 years |
4. Google services
Google Analytics. If you allow analytics cookies, Google Analytics collects information about how you use the Site, such as the pages you visit, and sends it to Google. To learn how Google uses this information, visit policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can also install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Google reCAPTCHA. Our contact and job application forms use Google reCAPTCHA to protect against spam and abuse. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information, such as device and application data, and sends it to Google for analysis. Your use of reCAPTCHA is subject to the Google Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy) and Terms of Service (policies.google.com/terms).
5. How to manage cookies
Our cookie banner. When you first visit the Site, a banner lets you accept all cookies, reject non-essential cookies, or choose by category. You can change your choices at any time by clicking Cookie Preferences at the bottom of any page. If you withdraw your consent, we will stop setting those cookies from that point on. Cookies already on your device can be removed in your browser settings.
Your browser. Most browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies. These settings are usually found under "Settings," "Privacy," or "Security." Blocking all cookies may cause parts of the Site to stop working. To learn more, see your browser's help pages:
- Google Chrome: support.google.com/chrome
- Mozilla Firefox: support.mozilla.org
- Apple Safari: support.apple.com
- Microsoft Edge: support.microsoft.com
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Some browsers send "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signals. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising. Because we currently use no marketing cookies, these signals do not change how the Site works. If that changes, we will update this policy and honor those signals as required by law.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when we add or remove cookies or for other reasons. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page. If we add a new category of cookies, we will ask for your consent again where required.
