The Belz Factory Outlet mall had outlived its use. In partnership with the owner, we converted the 224,000 SF enclosed mall into open-air retail, demolishing the center section to make room for the Mountain Monster tower ride over water. The new exterior reads as an old mining town: brick veneer, cedar, reclaimed barn wood, and Corten steel.
The Tower Shops opened in 2019 and are now a centerpiece of the Mountain Mile entertainment district.
